Dear Sir,
My self I am Sunny Punjabi and i used to get calls from HDFC Bank credit card department for Health Plans. I selected a plan and give them permission to issue a health policy on my name. Then they started asking me some questions about my health. As i am suffering from diabetes, i declare the same. As they come to know that I have diabetes they refuse me to issue me the health policy.

So my question is to IRDA are they authorized to do that ? Because according to IRDA rule if i have any major disease they cant just pay me the claim for that particular disease for the period of 4(four) year. But they cant refuse to issue a policy.

Kindly clarify on the issue
