I purchased a refrigerator from reliance digital retail on 10th may 2013 vide order num. 20990057842245 , (C1035) # 0063. I was offered a Stabiliser along with the refrigerator bearing model num (vguard refstabvgsd 100). Yesterday on 20th May we could smell something and I found that the stabilizer was hot. I switched off the refrigerator and checked the Stabilizer and to my surprise the model number in the bill and unit did not match wherein I was surprised to see that Reliance Digital has supplied me an underrated stabiliser which when i confirmed on websites was cheaper version of the one which I purchased.

This was an act of malpractice by the supplier, we paid for a better product and we were given a dangerously substandard product. second supplying underrated stabiliser could have lead to Fire in my house if we had not noticed the smell. Its a grave negligence by reliance retail and we could have lost everything to fire and living in multistory apartment it could have been more severe or could have damaged my newly purchased refrigerator.

I leave it to Honourable members of the Forum to decide appropriate penalty to set an example for abating subsequent malpractices like this.I have been cheated and in these 10 days no one from reliance retail called me up to own that they had committed a mistake.When I pointed out they started calling me. Also 80% of the fires have been due to electricity and appliances short circuits and overloads and negligence like this should be given zero tolerance
