Computer Shopee – Poor Customer Service

My 2 years old samsung laptop was working perfectly alright till 05th of August 2014. Haven’t met any type of service since purchase. Only a hinge of the laptop screen was broken which I wanted to get rectified from the aforesaid service centre. They charged me Rs.2500/- for a single hinge change which would cost around 200-300 bucks & also compelled me to do a servicing. I was not confident about the servicing part as they were not samsung authorized service centre & I was skeptical about the competency of the engineers working there. But, they insisted & I paid another 500 bucks for the whole job which was not satisfying at all. The joint from where the hinge was broken was done with some plastic touch up & looks like a shoe-job done by a cobbler & the keyboard was also completely shapeless state. I complained about that & told them they could have changed the entire panel instead for altogether around 5-6 grands instead of a touch up job for 3000. Whatever, I left with my laptop & came back to my home with a sheer shock when I turned it on it was completely dead. I went to them almost the very next day. Then they told me I have to pay another 400 grands for it was a liquid damage which could not be detected earlier. I was bound to pay that & the sum for servicing altogether came to Rs.3400/-. And, the pathetic point is their behavior is so bad that it makes a customer pointless. Now my laptop’s screen is almost gone & I think I have to buy a new laptop. I want compensation for this kind of service & what they have done to my laptop. I have also decided to lodge a formal complaint with the local consumer court. Seek your help regarding the same.

I want a compensation for what they have done. If unable or not possible at least they should give my money back of total Rs.3400/- which I can use to repair it from a Samsung service center.
