Dear Sir, My electricity connection number is 87935 which is alloted towards my father’s name Mr.Dharm Pal. Electricity meter of my connection is fixed outside (in open) of the house by elecricity department.Then we are no responcibility for its safety. This meter was burnt of fire by some fluctuation or by rain water entering or by other problem. When we informed to electricity department to replace it. They did not replaced it. They told us that we have to pay Rs 2000/- to replace the meter. While we are electricity consumer and paying each & every bill of the energy that we are consuming, we are not consumer of meter, it is the property of electricity department. The department should be responsible for their property while they are fixing the meters outside in open area.
