Dear Sir, I am writing this letter regarding a complaint against “Dell Computers”. I bought one laptop from Flipkart (Bangalore) during month of May 2015 for gifting to my Aunt who is an old Missionary reside at Bruhanpur MP, celebrated her golden jubilee of her vocation. Company had offered one year warranty for the same. Her Sole purpose was to check email & hearing music. Unfortunately the speaker stopped functioning after couple of months. She was unaware of the warranty. When I contacted her by month of October she told her about the repair.
I asked her to take to nearest DELL SERVICE CENTER. After much search I could locate the service center at INDORE, which around 300km from Bruhanpur and it takes around 5hrs journey. When ultimately when they took service center at Indore, they demanded Rs 1500 for the repair even after acknowledging the warranty of the same. So they took it back thinking of the injustice.
Immediately after it came to my notice , I complained in DELL OFFICIAL SITE “DELL.COM. Within 5 minutes I got mail & phone call from AKOSHA TEAM. I dont know how this company came into picture. They are demanding around Rs 900 for just registering the complaint, that even they are not sure whether they can solve my problem. So I didnt responded to them .After 10 days I got call from Dell company .They told since you have installed 3rd party software, that is the only reason for the damage of speaker. Kindly note the company has loaded any software from their end and there is any advisory note for usage of the same. When I Inquired about this from the expert in this field every told that there is absolutely no chance of repair the HARDWARE BECAUSE OF SOFTWARE. So they are avoiding their mandatory WARRANTY TERMS Sir, if I am going to Consumer Court it will have undue delay and cost for running case which I cant afford now. So kindly advice me further action to be taken or the correct email id where I can register my complaint. Sir ,kindly guide me accordingly Yours Faithfully, Joe K M
