I had availed of the logistics services of DRS Agarwal packers and movers company. On 14th May, 2013, I had booked my house-hold goods and car to be transported from Nasik to Chennai vide GC No. 4274084 and 4274086 respectively. There were various gross deficiencies in their service. The goods were delivered in a damaged condition, particularly a hole on the TV frame (Item no.51), TV table is completely broken (Item No.10). Further, vacuum cleaner and other miscellaneous articles (Item No.42) and bicycle (Item no.54) were missing. Furthermore, the car was delivered to me after Four weeks of booking, much beyond the promised delivery time, that too after persisting telephonic calls. The muffler got damaged due to mishandling of the four-wheeler by them. Despite repeated requests from my end, including telephonic calls and e-mails, the officials of DRS Agarwal packers and movers are not willing to accept any responsibility for their sheer negligence and have been shrugging off my requests. After acute persistence from my end, they have proposed a final settlement of Rs. 2,000(Two Thousand only) for the missing goods only. Such a meager amount of compensation for my troubles was unacceptable to me. As a consequence of the deficient service and the repeated incompetency displayed by their employees, I have suffered undue hardship and mental frustration. I would like to emphasize that: • They were grossly negligent and unprofessional in their approach. • I have undergone a lot of extreme stress and mental agony because of their deficient service.

Given the above sequence of events, I request the compensation of Rs. 15,000/- for the delay in delivery, missing goods as well as damage to the goods due to the negligence of DRS Agarwal Packers and Movers. In addition, compensation for further amount of Rs. 15,000/- for the extreme stress and mental agony they have caused to me.
