I couriered a pen set to my daughter to her college hostel address at Mangalore.The courier called her to inform that the courier had been received at Mangalore but instructed her to come to their office at M.G.Road to collect delivery.They cited that it was tough to come inside the college campus but my daughter explained that regularly couriers deliver goods to their hostel, so why not DTDC but they declined. She will have to spend Rs.100 for auto to collect the parcel whereas the courier charge is only Rs.60. My request to the lady receptionist to at least request them to deliver the goods at the college gate where she could wait and collect was also turned down very harshly. The agency should immediately deliver the goods to her hostel without harassing her further. She is a medical student and due to exams does not have time to travel outside
