I purchased a brand new HTC Desire VC phone from EBAY on 24th April 2015. I received the shipment on 29 April. The cost of the phone was Rs. 6029. The seller was called Computechsale13. The product description mentioned warranty provided by Seller. Immediately after I received the phone I found the phone charger not working and tried to contact the seller. When the seller did not respond, I raised a complaint with Ebay. Ebay called me up on 1st of May and gave an option of settling the case with a gift voucher of Rs 400. Since it was only a charger, I agreed. Simultaneously I also inquired what would happen if my phone developed a snag at a later date. Ebay informed me the seller would respond and in case he does not respond, EBAY would help me out. On 4th of May, the phone display also developed a snag.I tried to contact the seller, he did not respond again. I contacted EBAY on 5th of May. Initially they accepted the complaint and said they would resolve the case within 48 hours. Since then I have followed up with EBAY multiple times, at times hey inform me the matter has been escalated, at times they say since they have already resolved a case they would not help me further. Every call would give me a different version. Today finally they informed me, I would have to settle with the seller directly. EBAY would not help me. That the seller is not responding to the mail and phone number provided in EBAY site does not mater, somehow I have to get in touch with the seller, how they do not know!!! Meanwhile they have done a wonderful thing: they have de-registered the seller as an approved seller. Now that the seller is recognized by EBAY he will have no motive at all to fix the phone. Effectively it means a total loss for me. I had also tried to get help from HTC. HTC India informed me the handset I have was not meant for India so they will not provide any warranty!!!!

Replacement of faulty handset sold to me by Ebay or refund of my money
