My friend sent me a birthday gift (containing 2 T-shirts and Birthday Card) via FedEx on 11/29, which was supposed to reach me on 12/03. The delivery guy called me in the morning on 12/03 and said that I’ll have to pay a custom duty of Indian Rupees 2038/-. Even the contants of the packet is not cost that much. The shipment tracking number is: 804901085692 Please help.

This is ridiculous on Fedex Part as their is no customs duty on Clothing. Are they here to loot Indian consumers who are not very well informed nor they are protected by strong consumer laws ?
