Flipkart EMI Billed on Cancelled Order

I used my axis bank card to help my neighbor buy a TV on Flipkart under some offer wherein EMI was available with zero processing fees. However, the order was immediately cancelled by Flipkart for reasons best known to them. But the the full amount of Rs34,390/- was charged to my credit card. When I called Flipkart, they said that it will be refunded in 10 days and don’t have to pay anything. When the refund took place, I called Axis bank to confirm the same and they said that it is indeed refunded and I don’t need to pay anything. But after a month or so they started sending me statement of EMIs and no phone text notification which I get for any pending billing amount. When I saw the statement, I was shocked and called up AXIS bank and they took my request to cancel the EMIs. The next day 7th May I got a text confirmation that my EMI is closed with Rs 0 closure fees, thereafter I keep getting statement and text to pay closure fees. I have called Axis Bank several times but with no avail. Sometime they say that the amount has been reversed and I don’t need to pay anything, but when again I call after getting statement and text message to pay the pending amount, they say that I have to pay it at any cost.

I am sick and tired of calling Axis bank and spending more than 30 mins with the customer service representative to get another text message that my foreclosure fees is pending. I feel there is a nexus between Flipkart and Axis bank to rob the customers by luring with such offers and getting them tangled in such issue and somehow levy some charges and share the profit amongst themselves. I want a thorough probe into this and the truth coming to the fore so that no other customer fall in this trap and go through the harassment and coercion to pay unfair charges
