Flipkart – False information On Product Delivery

I had ordered on 2nd Sept’2014 an Xiaomi Redmi 1s phone through Flipkart for a payment of INR 5999/. After getting successful completion of the transaction, I got a message saying that my product would be delivered by 17th Sept’2014. I had promised to deliver the product to one of my close relative on 18th Sept’2014. On 12th Sept’2014 I checked online the status of my product delivery and the status updated showed that ‘product could not be delivered because of no response’ while all my house members were at home. I verified with the call centre and they mention that the product would be delivered next day. I had to make atleast 10-12 follow up calls but the call centre was non responsive. On 13th Sept’2014 I got a message saying that the product is delivered to me, while I had not received the product. Upon several follow ups till 19th Sept’2012 I was only given assurance that the product would be delivered soon.Its a breach of the promise and I want to raise the complaint against the same.

Because of the non delivery of the product on time, I was let down in my family function as I had planned to present the gift to my close relative on 18th Sept’2014. I was mentally traumatized and face humiliation because of the unprofessional service of flipkart.
