Gift center – Flower didn’t fit properly owner refuse to exchange

I purchased a flower vase and flowers from a gift center amounting Rs1200/-. When I tried installing it in my house, it didn’t fit propery. So I went to the shop to exchange it. There they showed my a no exchange board, which I had not noticed as I was in hurry. I said I will buy items costlier than the previous items but they were adamant that there is no exchange. Now I really don’t understand that policy. How do I emulate how the things will fit in my house. I have to do some hit and trial. What really hurt is their attitude. NB: They didn’t give me a bill. Please help. I really don’t understand what the no exchange policy means.

It was really a mental torture.
