Harassment by Paramount Group of Companies and Builders

This is to bring to your kind notice that Paramount Group of Companies is bent on harassing innocent customers and blatantly flouting all norms mentioned in their own contract. My husband and I had booked a flat no L- 1005,with them in the project called Paramount Floraville GH 06 Sec 137, Expressway, Noida,on 31stJanuary 2010. After a lot of insistence on our part they sent us the allotment Letter on June 15th, 2010, according to which their 30 months expired on 14th Dec 2012, and the grace period expired on14th March 2013. They have taken the entire cost of the flat by Sept 15th, 2012, when their site plan, according to their own advertisement appeared in Times of India dated Feb 23, 2012 was sanctioned only on Sept 29th 2012 vide Sanction Plan- Noida/ MU. NE/III-196/573. Then they sent us a threatening letter and charged us a huge amount of interest in December 2012 @ 18% p.a. plus additional Service tax, over and above the Service tax paid with each installment, as per the then existing govt. norms. They have even extracted an unjustified amount of nearly Rs. 10000/- over the nominal interest due, which we paid in order to get possession on time, as they promised to adjust it at the time of possession.

Now they do not even want to entertain us either on phone, or reply to our mails or letters sent by Speed Post, or give us any information regarding date of possession or when they will start paying the penalty as specified in the contract. Even their staff is extremely high -handed and uncooperative, including their CFO, who refuses to listen to even genuine concerns like over -charging of interest factor. The rate at which their work is progressing, their own staff are convinced that it will take at least another 18 to 24 months to get it completed. Meanwhile, we are suffering huge financial distress, as the bank has started charging us the full EMI, and we cannot avail of any income tax benefit due to the indefinite delay by Paramount. There is no transparency in their dealings with customers, and by their unprofessional delay, we are suffering a financial loss of another 4 to 5 lakhs. Kindly look into the matter , as they are not at all keen to abide by the laws of the land/ their own contract and are flouting them with impunity. They have neither handed over possession nor started paying penalty to us, , even though their stipulated time -period of 33 months was over on 14th March 2013. They are not even willing to give us confirmed date of possession in writing. Looking forward to a positive response from your side at least.
