Dear Sir, I had given an ECS (Electronic Clearing System) mandate to just Dial on 9 th may. I subsequently withdrawn that mandate on 24th may a copy of which was sent via e mail and registered post to the HDFC Bank. Still an amount of 3367 was withdrawn on 1st June 2015.When I contacted the customer care she advised me to block the card and new card was issued to me. However the said amount again reflected in my account.I sent various mail to the HDFC but they insisted on getting an assent from the merchant regarding the withdrawal.”As per the RBI guidelines ” the account holder / customer is also entitled to withdraw the mandate / ECS Debit instructions from his / her bank without involvement of the User institution.”
