Heating Problem in Nokia 7.1 – Consumer Review

I purchased Nokia 7.1 from their online store on 1st May 2019 and it was delivered to me on 6th May. The phone had a big heating issue and I reported it to Nokia within two days i.e. on 8th May via their customer support number. They told me to change the phone in safe mode and to do factory restore afterwards if no heating in safe mode. I tried it, but this did not solve the issue for me. I told them that I want to return the phone and asked for the refund. They asked for the screenshot of mobile health showing heating issue in the safe mode. When I told them over phone that the phone is in my home town with my parents and I would be able to send this screenshot only when I go there, Nokia representative told me it is fine with them as they can wait for it and they can’t proceed without this screenshot. Also, they said that the 10 days return policy will not be applicable here as the issue was reported within 2 days of receiving phone.

Next, when I told them that my travel to the home town will be delayed, they told me that they will share the details of the local Service Center where my parents can go, and Service Center will capture the required details and share it with Nokia. They never shared the details with me after sending so many mail reminders. They started sending a default template mail of their 10 days return policy too for all my email attempts to contact them. When I called to ask them to check the telephonic conversation records then their support executive told me that the default return policy will not be applicable in this case and that they will share the local service center details for return initiation, they said that they can’t access these conversations. I sent this conversation as minutes of meeting in the email as well. They did not acknowledge or deny it in the email too. It is so frustrating and annoying to see that a global brand can stoop to this level where they don’t even acknowledge the heating issue in their phone and stop responding to their customers after telling them lies continuously. Not only you refused to return the phone but wasted my valuable time for almost a month now. Shame on you guys.
