HomeShop18 Refund on Faulty Product – Review

I, Jyotsna Singh had placed an order with Home Shop 18 on 1 October 2014 for ‘Pick Any 1 Contemporary Concept Saree By Hiba-Pink (Seller: Vivaana Designers Pvt. Ltd.)’, order no.- 954658917 for a sum of Rs. 1499 which was delivered to me on 7 October 2014. But, the product had some major defects, therefore, I placed a request for refund of my money in exchange for the product on 11 October 2014. The product was successfully returned to the company on 13 October 2014 and a customer care representative called me asking me for my bank details so that the amount could be refunded to my bank account. He promised that the transaction would take max. 5 days. Today it is 17 December 2014 and unfortunately I have still not been refunded the said amount of Rs.1499. When I called them, they said the transaction had failed so I requested them to send me a cheque instead. After this, I have been calling them every 2-3 days, but each time they say, that your cheque is being made, your cheque is being processed, the cheque will reach you in 3 days, etc. I complained to them about the situation that now two months have passed but I have still not got back my money. They promised me that a senior executive will call me within 24-48 hrs but no such call ever came to me. It is quite a disappointment that a big company as Home Shop 18 is making us beg for our own money even for such a meagre amount as Rs.1499. I want my amount of Rs.1499 to be refunded to me anyhow or I will be compelled to take legal action against the company.
