Dear Team, I Sushil Rai had booked the hotel room of Hotel Sonar Bangla for 4 days from 1st Oct’14 to 5th Oct’14 with vide booking reference number RZU77493 dated 11th September 2014. Much to my dismay the first experience was horrifying.We reached at 3am in the morning and though the hotel was pre-informed about our ETA still no proper arrangements were in place. The bedsheets,Curtains,Pillow cover were filthily dirty with poor lighting and temperature control system.The washroom was unhygienic with absence of toilet rolls,toothpaste and clean towels. The outside temperature had dropped in the night but the hotel staff had no provision for even a tidy quilt till morning. The basic amenities shown in the hotel website was completely missing in reality.Also there was no responsible contact person available for hearing out our complaint.Atlast when we decided to checkout feeling helpless and cheated the hotel staff refused to even take us through the due process of checking out. The price paid per day was Rs.5000 and by any given standards it is no less.The bare minimum expectation of basic amenities in a hotel room are always there with any price hotel booking. In view of the above plight I request the team to take up the matter with the authorities of Hotel Sonar Bangla asap and arrange for our formal checkout and refund of the entire booking amount on account of we being thoroughly misguided of the information provided by the Hotel at the time of booking. We request you to expedite our refund process failing which we shall be forced to lodge a complaint at the Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum against Hotel Sonar Bangla Mandarmani and your travel guru website as your company was the interface in this booking and all information pertaining to the hotel facilities was taken from your website.
