At public places especially. railway stations and bus stands the vendors sell beverages and packaged food items at price Rs. 5-10 higher than MRP. For cold drinks it is termed as cooling charges etc. For other products like biscuits etc. the printed MRP is struck off. It is not a case of particular vendor but is same for every other city. These food products are need for travelers and vendors monopolize it.

I want the authorities to make strict actions against this issue. The products sold by vendors at such places must be price regulated and checks should be made for MRP correctly printed. Strict notifications must be issued by the department to curb this menace. Action should be taken against defaulters so as to stop this harassment.
