Hp 454s Notebook – Defective piece supplied

Reminder I have purchased an HP Probook 454s Notebook (S. No. INA2495SPWW) from M/s Associated Business Computers, 38, 2nd Floor Todarmal Road Bengali Market New Delhi 110001 on 14 Feb. 2013 for total amount of Rs. 45900/= (Invoice No. ABC/12-13/RI/631) Soon after the purchase several defects have been observed, which have been reported to M/s ABC Computers at their Haldwani Office/ Delhi office and HP Worldwide Technical Support Centre time to time. Several times Service Enginees have visited to repair the defect and tried to find out the fault, but all in vain. It appears that a defective piece has been supplied. When the initial efforts to repair the system failed, requests were made to replace the same, which were never entertained. This has resulted in loss of our precious time for entertaining the service person/ engineer about 10-12 times during last one year. The problems which have been faced are as under: 1. Touch pad did not work properly which was repaired several times and the same was replaced later. 2. LED remains on even after shut down process is completed many a times. 3. Screen calibration and Wi-Fi problems with Windows 8.1. 4. When work is resumed back for work after lid is opened from down condition, it hangs/slows down and cannot be shut down using normal procedure. 5. Once efforts were made redress the problems by changing the mother board but problems still persisted and therefore the same idea of changing mother board was dropped by the service engineer. 6. Link was sent for updating the BIOS which was done. Problems were not sorted out even then. When completion of one year of purchase approached, request was made for replacing the defective piece while lodging the complaint (Case ID # 4721600866, lodged on 13.2.2014) but the request of replacement was rejected. All efforts to rectify the problems have been made by service engineers during last one year but no success has been achieved. Now how can we expect a solution in coming time. We are now fed up and tired following the matter. After completion of one year we are doubtful that any attention will be paid by the HP people. Recently they have sent a mail indicating closure of our complaint without giving any satisfactory solution. In view of the above you are requested to take appropriate action so that either the laptop is replaced or our hard earned money is refunded without causing a loss to our precious time.
