I had an idea connection -9990964577 which was on two year advance rental plan till Sept-12. I had taken this connection in Faridabad while I was working there. I had left Faridabad in Nov-12 and paid all the dues and the idea bill of December was negative. I had not used the number since then. I has presumed that the number would be disconnected spontaneously after the expiry of the advance rental period in Sept-12. But I was billed Rs 263/- in July 12 which suddenly increased to Rs 1280/- by Dec-12. Interestingly , I had no call charges and nobody from idea bothered to call me for renewal or retention of the number. I received a call in Nov-12 from somebody who identified himself as from Idea and threaten me with legal action if I don’t pay the amount billed to me forthwith. After that I have mailed to idea customer care and its Delhi & NCR appellate regarding the threats from idea to coerce me to pay bills foisted on me. Thereafter I received a call from IDEA customer care enquiring about whether I was interested in this connection or not. Upon my answering in the negative, I was promised that the charges would be reversed and the connection would be disabled. But I was really flabbergasted when I received a call on 1st Jan 2013 from the desk officer of Tis Hazari Court informing me that a case was filed against me by an advocate Deepak Sharma and I was advised to contact. When I contacted the lawyer , I was asked to deposit the amount within one hour to enable him to stop the case which I finally did. It is really incredible, preposterous , unlawful for IDEA whose connection I used for so many years, to stoop so low to bully customers by using its clout as a conglomerate to extract undue payments from an individual who has hardly any recourse except for knocking the doors of whatever authority he can approach which I am doing now. Keeping all I this in view, I would like to request u to look earnestly into the matter as to how a case was filed against me despite having been promised a reversal. It should be ensured that not only the amount of Rs 1280/- is refunded to me forthwith but also action taken against the errant official who had made me go through immense mental agony
