Hi, My name is Pankaj Telgaonkar. My sister uses Idea prepaid ph# 9848977595 and she is Idea Andhra Pradesh customer. She went to Mumbai in September and has been using the phone on roaming. Idea has a specific Rs 71 recharge option for prepaid phones which makes incoming calls free for one month while on roaming outside of Andhra Pradesh. On 23-Sep-13 I made this Rs 71 recharge for ph# 9848977595. Ideally, this should have made all Incoming calls free for this phone number till 23-Oct-13. However even after doing this recharge, the balance on this prepaid phone is deducted every time she receives a call. Her phone balance is getting deducted quickly and I had recharged it with Rs 800 so far. My sister has confirmed that she searched for all available networks and specifically selected Idea network. The phone displays IDEA as the chosen network. I have been calling Idea customer care on a regular basis since 26-Sep-13 to resolve this issue but in vain. I also registered multiple complaints but none were addressed to satisfaction. The most recent Complaint# is 1-38929222188. One customer service executive calculated a refund of Rs 130 and said he will process it but that too never happened. Idea customer care executives are unable to process the refund and are also unable to stop the balance deduction for Incoming calls. They simply called my sister and closed my complaints. They simply ask her to check the mobile network selected, then try shut down the phone and so on. This is basic troubleshooting which my sister has done many times and has confirmed several times. I am fed up with this issue and the rude attitude of the Idea executives. I have lost a good amount of money by calling their customer care ph# 9848012345 and also my valuable time. I request Consumer Court to register a complaint and take up this case with Idea. I am hopeful that Idea considers my complaint, re-calculate the refund amount and process it at the earliest.
