TO ALL SENIOR OFFICERS OF RELIANCE JIO INFOCOMM LIMITED – Mr. Sanjay Mashruwala, Mr.Mathew Oomen,Mr. Ashirwad Tillu , Mr. Arvind Rao
This is with reference to your Proposal (dated 15-03-2013) and subsequent Illegal Installation of Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited 4G Broadband Wireless Access Services at Venus Co op Hsg Soc, Wadala East. We, the residents of Venus Co Op Housing Society, Bhakti Park, Wadala East, Mumbai 400037, a 7 storey building with 3 wings and only a single entrance, wish to bring to your attention the following facts pertaining to the Illegal installation of your firm, Reliance Jio Infocomm 4G antenna on our rooftops.
Kindly note that the person called Mr.Vivek Khandare, R/O C-401, 402 Venus Buiding, Bhakti Park, Wadala East, Mumbai 400037 has NO Authority or Legal Standing to broker such a deal as he is NOT even an office bearer/ managing committee member. He alongwith the Chairman, Mr.Shahaji Bhaskar Bhosle (C-702 Venus) and Secretary Mr,Balaji Jadhav (C-703 Venus) have forged signatures of majority of us resident owners and even those who do not reside in their owned flats in Venus Building .
1. No objection/ consent of the members was not taken as per the prevailing BMC laws. When we approached the above Office Bearers of the Managing Committee and and Khandare for a copy of the alleged consent and signatures of members, it was denied repeatedly. At the Annual General Meeting of Venus Co Op Hsg Society held on 29th September, 2013, when we raised the issue of members consent, we were rudely informed that all decisions could be taken merely by the 2 office bearers, namely Chairman and Secretary and No Consent was required by members.
2. The society did not hold any meeting to inform the members of the installation proposal received from Reliance.
3. The signatures of all the office bearers were not taken on the final contract.
4. Only a privileged few are aware of the terms and conditions of this contract.
5. The installation as on date is complete and is likely to be commissioned any day now.
6. We have already filed a complaint with the Hon. Commissioner BMC with a cc to M West Ward (copy attached / Annexure 1), and action is awaited.
7. As per the the recent norms issued by the Maharashtra Government, it is mandatory to get the consent from each and every members residing on the 7th floor of the building, before any permission from the Municipal authorities is applied for or given.
However the consent of 2 members residing on the top/ 7th Floor has been forged.
8.The copy of permission from the fire brigade authorities has not been shown to any of the members and we are not even sure that the requisite permission has been taken/ applied for.
9. Similarly, the copy of permission from the BMC has not been shown to any of the members and we are not even sure that the requisite permission has been taken/ applied for.
10. It has come to our knowledge from very reliable sources that a hefty kickback of a sum of Over One Crore Rupees is being paid under the table to select members of the Venus Co Op Housing Society which includes some members of the managing committee also.
11. Lastly and most importantly, kindly note that we have a lot of senior citizens and children living in the building and hence, majority of the residents/ members are totally against the installation of this 4G mobile-internet antenna
As everyone is aware of the harmful life threatening health hazards of this technology, we request your urgent assistance to
1. Stop the commissioning of this 4G antenna immediately and
2. Help us in Removing this Illegal Antenna from our Building
Failing which we shall be forced to take legal recourse and highlight this illegal activity of Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd in the media and press.
