I am filing this complaint against Indian Railways for a highly inappropriate and uncalled for and unjustified behavior that took place with me while travelling from Old Delhi Station to Jaisalmer. I had booked three tickets PNR 2360449136 in train no 14659(me + my daughter + one young girl) from Old Delhi to Jaisalmer on wait list 2,3,4 for date of journey of 13-07-2014. Our ticket got confirmed of 12-07-2014 and we received a message for the same. However, when we boarded the train we couldn’t find our name on the charts in any of the compartments. There was an announcement stating that on of the coaches has been removed. There was no prior notice given to us regarding this. We couldn’t see our names in the chart and hence were asked to get down on Old Delhi Station. Thereafter, we received a message stating the status of our ticket to be waiting list 6,7,8 of the ticket with PNR No. 2360449136. However, the booking status of the same was waiting list 2,3,4. The PNR NO is 2360449136. Train no 14659. Date of journey 13-07-2014.
I would like the compensation from Indian Railways for the following : 1. The mental harassment which we were subjected to. 2. The physical pain that we went through, travelling all the way from Jabalpur to travel to Jaisalmer, but not being able to do so. 3. The cash compensation for the ticket we booked for the next day, the taxi fare which we had to pay to get back to the guest house, the compensation for stay in hotel. 4. The mental agony that two women and a child had to go through at a new station. 5. No prior notice about the cancellation of the ticket. I would like the consumer court to look into this matter and give us the proper compensation
