Sir, I have been serving Indian Air Force for the last 16 years. I have booked e-tickets @pcda travel system at TC(U), AF Bangalore for the journey from Bangalore to Mangalore Central on 06 May 14 and return journey on 08 May 14 in sleeper class for my self and wife. PNRs are 4508406710 and 4508435010 respectively in Karwar Express(16523 &16524.As the both the trains were late more than 6 hours due to derail of Goods train en route of that train, I have traveled by bus both onward and return.
The same has been intimated the irctc customer care also.As directed by them (irctc),I have send my scanned copy of id proof alongwith PNR details to etickets@irctc.co.in for initiating proceedings for the refund.However the same ticket has either cancelled or initiated action to refund the fare as the train was delayed around 18 hours.It is pertinent to mention that I have informed irctc customer care well before departure of the train from starting station ie., Mangalore. The email correspondence between me with irctc customer care & PCDA travel System are available with me. Further, I have spent Rs.1298 & 1333 respectively for the journey from Bangalore to Mangalore and back by bus as the trains were late more than 6 hours. However, irctc had refunded only the amount of return journey in train No.16524 eventhough I have apprised whole matter to them through e-mail. In view of the above, it is requested to take up a case with irctc/concerned railway authorities to refund the amount of the journey for the PNR 4508406710 on priority basis. I AM ANNEXING ALL MY CORRESPONDENCE WITH IRCTC & PCDA TRAVEL SYSTEM WITH THIS COMPLAINT.
I request for an immediate refund of the fare of mine & my wife for the journey from Bangalore to Mangalore on 06 May 14 (PNR-4508406710)as the lapse is caused by irctc & PCDA travel system
