Hi, I’m Dinesh from Chennai. I had booked 2 confirmed tatkal tickets from Vizag to Chennai on Oct 13th in Howrah Chennai Mail (12839). But due to Cyclone Phailin, train was diverted from Howrah directly to Vijayawada without touching Vizag. Vijayawada is around 6-7 hrs from Vizag which is not possible for us to travel till there to catch the train and hence we booked a bus ticket on the last minute. I applied for tdr since it was Railways who diverted it. But i was shocked to know that my refund was rejected with reason as “refund is not admissible as informed by Railways through their letter no : CSR211013V58540 and the reason being : ‘RELEASED PNR NRF'”. I tried approaching them to know more details and how it was not possible for refund but i didn’t get any response yet. Can you please check this complaint.
