IRCTC TDR Refused – Govt Can’t Loot Citizens

I have booked tickets online through irctc with following details. Transaction details. Pnr number: 8626389609 ticket type: eticket transaction id: 0926434434 booked on: 1-8-2014 class: sl internet service charge: rs 11.24 date of journey: 05/8/2014 railway zone: ser total: rs 751.24 train no: 12809 ticket charge: rs 740.00 from station: kharsia(khs) quota: general to station: howrah jn(hwh) irctc zone: ccm/refund/ser 14, strand road,kolkatta-700001 ticket details s# name age sex coach seat res-status 1 p k agarwal 50 male 0000/ booked 2 s k agarwal 46 female 0000/ booked on journey date 05/08/2014 i come to enquiry to know the position of train than i told that train is running late by 2 hrs, again after 2 hrs on enquiry confirm me that it will come around at 11 pm. I come at station with my wife long with luggage prior to 11 pm and surprised to know that no information when the train will come. We waited at station up to 5 am next morning & finally told us that train is diverted to other route for howrah and it will not come to kharsia. We got a certificate for this and filed a tdr on 06/08/14. For refund. After this we mailed many reminder for refund and finally i got a mail from tdr that our refund is rejected due to with reference to your pnr no:8626389609, we regret to inform you that refund is not admissible as informed by railways through their letter no : bse130814v10016 and the reason being : ‘no remark in charting ‘.

I already explained the reason above.now giveing problem faced by us. I am heart patient and operated two times. Doctors advised me not to take stress and advise to take full precaution during travel. My wife also suffering from some ladies problem and same advise for her also. We spent whole night at station in hot weather, mosquito biting and no fan working on plateform, a single tea shop closed at 11 pm. That night is nightmare for us. We spent that night same as we are in jail. We faced lots of problem. On 6th august in kolkata we have to attend a most urgent family function but we missed all. We did not get clear status of train from inquiry. On 6th aug 14 after filing tdr for refund and attached the certificate also but tdr team rejected our refund.
