I booked a ticket under tatkal on IRCTC.co.in on 27th Nov for travel on 28th Nov under PNR number 2725992307. The train was cancelled without any intimation on 28th Nov I tried asking for a refund on IRCTC on 2nd Jan however i was told that a refund can only be claimed within 3 days of cancellation. It applies even when it is Indian railways who is at fault. This rule is monopolistic and against the general public, making general public punishable when the company providing the services are at fault.
Due to last minute cancellation of the train between New Delhi and Aligarh junction on 28th Nov I was forced to drive down and spend money unnecessary on fuel and toll resulting in loss of INR 2500 on fuel & toll and further ticket cost which IRCTC/ Railway refuses to refund.
I want the ticket cost to be refunded as early as possible.
