Irctc – Train did not arrive – No Refund – Review

I had book an online ticked through irctc web portal for my wife’s journey from panvel to morena for 04.05.2014 vide PNR number: 4260488784. On the date of journey, the train did not arrive the boarding station even after 8 hours of scheduled departure. I waited with my family till that time for train on the station. Upon inquiring from station officials, they told that due to derailment of another train, the train may delay further. I then filed the TDR dated 04.05.2014 for refund of ticket amount as I could not board the train at boarding station even after 8 hours of scheduled departure. My TDR was rejected on 12.05.2014 by IRCTC stating that there was no delay in train. Since then, I have been writing repeated mails to IRCTC concerned department. Every time they reply with sentence that the complaint has been forwarded to concerned department. But no action has been seen for refund of my ticket fare. I wish to request that my eligible TDR should be admitted and ticket fare may be refunded to me at the earliest.

At the outset, my family could not travel on 04.05.2014 as train did not arrive even after 8 hours of scheduled departure (even though i booked the ticket two months in advance in packed summer vacation season). Further, I had to wait at the station for 8 hours with my 4 years old child and my wife and no concrete response was given by the station officials except that the train is indefinitely delayed. Most importantly, my TDR was rejected on the grounds that the train arrived on time while we and several passengers were waiting for the same train till 9 PM in the night (scheduled departure was 1 PM in afternoon). Even after sending several e-mail request and passage of 70 days, no action has been seen to admit my eligible TDR and refund my ticket amount to me, causing undue harassment.
