I was offered a Kotak Mahindra Bank savings salary account on 15 Sep 2014. Also promised a welcome gift, which after many follow ups with Kotak customer care and Asit Kumar from Kotak, I finally got an iredeem voucher number. I selected “Petrol” brand sunglasses, which were shown a valuation of Rs 3000/- and had a condition that the cost of shipping (Rs 298/-) be borne by me, which I paid online. After waiting for nearly a month and follow-up, I received the sunglasses and to my disbelief, they are having plastic frames and made of very cheap quality. On contacting redeem, they informed me that i need to send the glasses back to Mumbai on my cost and Kotak didn’t take any responsibility too.
