KTM RC 390 Engine Defect – Consumer Review

I bought KTM RC 390 from Lajpat Nagar Showroom in March 2016. I got all services on time from Authorised Service Station at 1521 Shambhu Dayal Bagh, Okhla Phase 3,Near Modi Mill Flyover, New Delhi, Delhi 110020 and took care of the bike as much as I can. I ride bike for leisure and not for daily commuting so just ran 5500 km since Mar 2016. I noticed that engine oil level goes down very frequently when I showed it to Supervisor at Authorised Service Centre at 1521 Shambhu Dayal Bagh, Okhla Phase 3,Near Modi Mill Flyover, New Delhi, Delhi 110020, I was told that there is defect in engine and needs overhauling. First they tried putting Rs. 25000 on me but when I told them that bike is under warranty then they said It is not serviced without even realizing that all the services are done through them only. Finally they told me that I need to pay for labour and most of the parts which they don’t cover in warranty. My Question to them: 1. We you negligent or intentionally ignored the engine defect when bike was coming every time to you for servicing? 2. Are you trained to first put all expenses on customer by not telling about the warranty or trying to find some reason not to cover under warranty? 3. When you had to accept that warranty applies then you are charging most of the things to me only. Why should I pay for the defect in the bike? In case of no proper and timely resolution, I plan to take the matter to all concern authorities, forums and social media.
