Last Minute cancellation of flight

I had booked an air ticket for my father by IT 3727. The flight was cancelled one day prior to his date of travel. At the last minute we had to his ticket on an expensive flight. This created financial loss and mental agony to my father. I have claimed compensation of Rs.20000/- from Kingfisher airlines to offset the loss and the mental stress caused to my father but they have not agreed to my request.

Would like to seek assistance of Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum to help me to get compensation.
