Lenovo Authorized Service Center Extremely Poor Service

Dear Sir, Today I am being compelled to bring to your notice my long pending service request with Lenovo authorized Service Centre: Sysnet (Service centre code SGT-23). My SO# is 7014060201. I was a very ardent user of Lenovo products, but have recently lost all faith due to the service I have received (not rather not received) from Sysnet. Let me start from the beginning– I owned a Lenovo Ideatab Lynx K3011 tablet. This was purchased in USA, so even though it was less than a year old, the warranty was not valid in India. I had no issues with that. One day, I found that the tab was not switching on, and hence took it for repairing at Sysnet. That was on 2nd June 2014. The technician was very helpful and told me that they would do a check to see what was the problem and would then let me know the estimate for fixing the same. I had very specifically mentioned that I do not have issues paying for the repairs, as long as the cost is not too high. The reason is quite understandable — if the cost of repairs is as high as a new tab, I would rather buy a new one than fix the old one. So I told the person: Please let me know the estimated cost before doing any kind of fix. If I confirm, then you can fix it, otherwise I will take away the defective tab and buy a new one. He agreed to let me know. After that day (2nd June), days passed and weeks passed. I called multiple times, but never got an answer as to what the status of my request was. One day I got a call stating that my tab had been fixed and the motherboard had to be replaced. When I told the representative that they were supposed to call me and give me an estimate before making the fix, they did not respond. On the contrary, they told me that the fix will cost me Rs.7000. Now you tell me

Sir, why should I pay Rs.7000 for fixing a tab, when I can buy a new one for a little more than that? Even then I agreed, hoping that I will get my tab back at least. I have been facing a lot of problems in its absence. Again days and weeks passed by. Whenever I called up, they told me that all hardware are fixed, and they are waiting for the OS to be installed. Sir, I myself am a Software engineer, and I very well know how much time it takes to install an OS on a device. Today it is 12th August, almost 2 and a half months from the date i submitted the tab. I still have not received it. I had called up Sysnet today, and they told me that it is still waiting for OS installation. I am facing a lot of problems without it. Also, since no one is giving me an estimate as to when I am going to receive the same, I cannot make up my mind about buying a new tab altogether. Sir, do you think this harassment is justified? Does it not bring down the reputed name of Lenevo? At this time, I really do not know what I should do, hence I thought of bringing this to your notice. Request you to please look into the matter and take necessary steps so that your faithful consumers do not lose trust in your reputed brand name. Regards, Arjun Kumar Sen
