Subject:- Regarding compensation for not repairing my Lenovo laptop within warranty
Sir,
I purchased on laptop on 11 November 2012 and it developed serious snag within warranty causing huge loss to my social work and profession. I personally visited the service center of Lenovo at S.P. Verma Road, Patna and registered my complaint . I also registered the complaint to lenovo online with acknoledgment on 28 August 2013. The engineer visited my site after a nearly a month and diagnosed the problem of laptop and gave me one paper of visit with detailed problems of my laptop on 31st September 2013. The engineer assured to repair the laptop within a week. I received several complaint regiustration number for online registration of complaint repeatedly. The lenovo also mislead me that the motherboard of the laptop is faulty and has been ordered for replacement contrary to the diagnosis of engineer that keyboad is faulty. I have sent dozen reminders via email with acknoledgment in receipt so far. The company has assured me every time with new problems. Nearly six months have passed my laptop is dead and my work hampared. The company gave me different numbers; Service Request Number (SR) – 8001652681, Service Order Number (SO) -7005534449, SERVICE ORDER – 8002140893, service order number: 7005914840 in last six months.
I have also complained to the Department of Consumer Affairs, Government of India vide complaint registration number DOCAF/E/2013/02411 dated 03 November 2013. But all in vain.
I, therefore, appeal you to order the payment of adequate compensation (Twenty Lakh + Two Laptops) for my loss and damage and fix the time for repairing of my laptop. I attach the receipt for purchase and warranty service slip.
