Dear Sir, I have applied for a LICHFL loan with all the necessary documents and received a sanction letter on 07 Jan 2014. Since i was pursuing the loan process through a LIC agent and payment also made through him. I was told by agent and his office staff that I am likely to get a initial payment nearly 15~20 % of the total loan to start the housing constructions for which I waited till I received a warning SMS about the time left was hardly a week. The process took more than 8 months. I physically visited LICHFL office from start of the loan and as and when required. I had submitted the original deed & EC documents on 17 Feb2014. The cash paid to make payments towards the loan was Rs7500/- on 11 Oct 2013 & subsequently Rs 10350 on 2nd Feb 2014. I made a written complaint to the RO Salem LICHFL and met him twice last month after the complaint to know the loan process status and issues. I could see a blank observation sheet having no observation by the legal along with the loan documents.

Since there was no reply from the RO for the written complaint what I made on 25 Mar 2014 and the LIC agent fooled me till last date about the loan installment release I felt the entire process did not follow any fair practice code. I was not clear about the loan status and the issues then I decided to decline the loan and confirmed it through mail on 2 Apr 2014. I was notified by the RO LICHFL Salem that the office finally decided to release only Rs 25000/- as an initial loan amount to start the process which was not accepted by hence he notified the cancellation of the sanction letter and the loan process on 04 Apr 2014. I was kept at dark till the end by the office and the LIC agent 1 The loan requirements – even met but not released any amount. 2 The office did not bother to update the observations / requirements through email-ID or by phone or by mail 3 The process was not communicated even after the issue of the loan sanction. 4 The LICGFL try to escape by putting the entire blame on the agent and they don’t have any role to play. 5 I was notified by the RO that there is no possibility of refund on the processing paid by me. I want your help to take up the issue and get the justification. Please let knew what are all the documental evidences to be produce to support the cliam? Regards, N Elangovan
