Makemytrip – Cheating no service from customer care

An absolutely appalling conduct of MMT and its staff. Our family had planned a holiday trip in August and accordingly made Bookings right through and through including Air, Hotels and Transport. Our journey was to begin on 28th Dec’13 with our flight to Ahmadabad for which a confirmed E-ticket was issued by MMT after FULL payment was received by them. Last month to my horror I discovered that the flight for which I am holding the ticket does not exist and I am left holding a bogus / fake ticket issued by MMT. Mind you MMT was not even aware of the mess-up till I contacted them with my problem. The matter was highlighted to MMT Customer Complaint department and even till date they have not been able to tell me who owns the responsibility of my situation. Have spoken with at least 6 people in MMT and none of them is able to tell me the reason, except shifting the blame on Airlines. Adding fuel to the fire, they are so insensitive, and have no respect or understanding of the importance of the TIME and DATE. Being a Travel Agency, it is expected of them to understand the importance of travel arrangement made by any one 4 months in advance with full payment. Any shifting of Time and Date of Travel will lead to rippling effect on all further bookings of travel and stay. Can anyone suggest a remedy to MMT ‘s conduct

The loss of travel bookings made is of 5.50 Lakhs plus the loss of time and reputaion amongst family and friends
