Makemytrip ID: NF2204341512501 and NF2204341512885 I Tavleen marwaha a resident of Australia visited India with my family for a month. I booked my domestic ticket from delhi -chandigarh and chandigarh -delhi usng makemytrip.com which is a very renowned website in India to book Flight tickets. My returning flight that was from chandigarh to delhi was on 5th April 2015 in the evening at aound 5:45 pm. But when we reached chandigarh airport at around 3:30 pm we saw that the Airport was empty. Upon asking the police man standing there we found that the Chandigarh Airport does not operate on every first and third sunday of the month after 1300 hrs . And same was told by the jetairways reservation counter. And Makemytrip.com did not inform us about this change and cancellation of the flight. Because of this we missed our international flight which we were supposed to board from Delhi at 11:45 pm on 5th April 2015. And I had to pay extra for postpone of my and my families international flight $1060 which we then boarded on 8th April 2015. I did some research on internet and found that Chandigarh airport does not operate on every first and third sunday of the month after 1300 hrs since 2013 then how makemytrip.com is booking the tickets and harassing their customers like this. Because of this whole episode my husband has to close his bussiness here in Melbourne for 3 more days which has costed us around a loss of another $500-$700. I raised this issue with makemytrip wherein I am just claiming my International ticket postpone charges $1060 but after agreeing that the Chandigarh Airport does not operate on every first and third Sunday after 1300 hrs and the makemytrip did not inform us about the same, the supervisor at makemytrip is asking me to bring a document from Airport stating that the Airport was closed on 5th April after 1 pm knowing that now I am in melbourne. Mr.Abhishek Kashayap is claiming that they can refund the international ticket postpone charges only if I provide them the document. I have attached the entire mail conversation with makemytrip. Please provide me a mail Id where I can provide the additional documents. Earlier I was just claiming my international flight postpone charges which is $1060 and the domestic flight full refund but now I want makemytrip to pay for all the harassment they did and also for my loss in business and the time I spent to sort this matter out. And the taxi charges I had to pay for 8th april to travel from Chandigarh to delhi Rs 3200 to catch the flight I had to postpone. I would like to a have complete refund in monetary not their apologies.
