MakeMyTrip Hotel rating and charges – consumer review

Hello CORE team, With due respect, 75420.3.2014 complaint is NOT RESOLVED YET. However, CORE website is showing as resolved. This is really very sad. This request has been open for 10 months and no action has been taken for 3 months. Riddhi Sharma (Manager Complaint, CORE Centre ( jago grahak Jago), Noida (UP)) was handling this. Due to no action from your side, MakeMyTrip morale is so high that they are openly publishing Hotel Sadaf at Srinagar as 3 Star AND Houseboat Jacqueline at Srinagar as 2 Star. In reality, MakeMyTrip has already accepted in July 2014 that Hotel Sadaf is 2 Star & Houseboat Jacqueline is 1 Star only. Please find Proofs attached. It means that MakeMyTrip is openly cheating all Indian consumers without fearing of any Government action. Hence, I would like to request you to take immediate action on this matter by ensuring the following : 1) Immediately, on their portal, MakeMyTrip should show only government declared STAR ratings for all hotel. They should remove Indicative STAR ratings based on other non-government portals like tripadvisor. Indicative STAR rating misleads Consumers. As per Government STAR rating, Company should charge consumers. Company should stop all practices of showing Hotel charges as per inflated Indicative rating and offering lucrative discounts on it. 2) All consumers from whom MakeMyTrip has charged more till this date, company should contact them, apologies to them and offer compensation. 3) In my case, I am demanding complete return of tour package amount (INR 70169) + delay Interest as per 10% per annum. Because, tour package from a very big company, is a product which I bought for complete mental satisfaction. But if such incidents happen then there is a feeling of being cheated and you feel you lost your time and all money in such package.

Lost faith in MakeMyTrip. I feel cheated. I lost my money (approx. 80000) and time (11 months).
