Maruti Suzuki Sold Faulty Swift Dezire Car

I recently bought a Maruti Suzuki sedan car, Swift Dezire, from my nearest Maruti dealer. I chose this car thinking that it’s a widely used car and assumed it’s a flawless sedan with which I could commute to office, and could take my family out. Owning a car is a luxury, but considering my family I had to buy a decent sedan to travel comfortably. Therefore without any second thought I booked a Dezire Vdi, which is the semi-luxury version among the dezire variants. I was very much excited about getting hands on with my new car. Finally the day has come, I got the call from Indus Maruti, asking me to come and collect my brand new sedan.

The instant I got in to the car, I could see the interior of my car dusty and seems like it has been used carelessly, leaving several marks on beige coloured interiors. It turned me down right away. There were parts of the door handle I couldn’t clean after several try. I would like to add, the material fitted beside the door handle were such an inappropriate material that it get stains and marks easily, and it’s impossible to get it cleaned(hence aim thinking of getting the part replaced with either a different material or something which is black in colour). The most disappointing part was the automatic window glass. I sat inside the car and pressed the switch, the glass started sliding upwards, but as soon as the glass hit the top, I was shocked. The door was literally shaking, and the inside of the door got sucked inside. The space between the door and the dashboard was suddenly widened which was clearly noticeable. Let me say I never expected such a thing inside a sedan car. I was thoroughly disappointed and asked the dealer straightaway. He agreed to what I was saying since it was pretty much evident. But then he came to a conclusion that this issue will be dealt while performing the first service. But it never happened. They service guys were of the opinion that the issue is there in all the dezire cars and nothing can be done. I returned home dissatisfied. Apart from the interiors and the window, I have also noticed few other things which are apparently mad my experience worse. The stereo fitted inside the door panel is one of them. When we increase the volume to half the way, the door starts vibrating and gives an unpleasant noice from the stereo as well as from the door. The inadequate leg space at the back seats of the car is something I can’t blame the manufacturer, because I was offered test drive and had chances to actually experience the vehicle before I bought It. Paying 7.5 lacks is still a big struggle for an average Indian, and my story is not different. Maruti Suzuki is a reputed car making company in India. But somewhere i have this feeling that they started look down on us Indians, thinking that we are people who will be satisfied with less features when it comes to cars.
