I have incurred a significant monetary loss as a result of a service failure from Meru Cabs. The delay in their cab reaching my home for an airport pick up has resulted in significant stress, besides monetary loss for me and my family members. The cab reached my home at 9:50, a full 50 minutes after the booked time, and was able to reach the airport at 11:50, for a flight to Hyderabad that departed at noon, on 9th October 2014. As a result, the fight was missed and my family had to return to Koramangala and take another flight to Hyderabad on 11th October 2014. Due to this delay in reaching Hyderabad, my parents’ doctor appointments were missed, leading to additional inconvenience to them in getting future appointments. Also, the mental agony for my parents was significant as they are senior citizens. Please find below the monetary loss I suffered due to the service failure: Cost of new ticket from Bangalore to Hyderabad on 11th October 2014: INR 10,710 Cost of transport from Koramangala to BIA on 9th October 2014: INR 1,231 Toll charges on the way to BIA: INR 75 Cost of transport from BIA to Koramangala on 9th October 2014, upon missing the flight: INR 835 Toll charges on the way back from BIA: INR 115 Porter charges at BIA: INR 300 Total cost: INR 13,266 (Thirteen Thousand Two Hundred and Sixty Six) I requested Meru Cabs that the above cost of INR 13,266 be reimbursed to me, given that this cost was incurred as a direct result of Meru Cab’s service failure. My request has not been responded to, despite making several calls and email follow ups. Please help.

I want Meru cabs to not only pay for the financial loss of Rs 13,300/- but also for the psychological and physical stress that my parents and myself underwent due to the service failure. I want Meru Cabs to pay me Rs 50,000/- as compensation for putting me and my family through so much stress and financial loss.
