I purchase Hyundai I20, Asta Petrol from Modi Hyundai, Thane in 19th, September 2012. Soon I noticed that one feature (down gear shift indicator) mentioned on sales brochure and owner manual was not working. When I gave my car for first service in November-2012, I asked Modi Hyundai service center to get it checked and repaired. The car was returned without repairs and when I again complaint they took three day to check and informed me cluster meter need to be replaced. Cluster meter is not available in stock and it has been ordered. They took 4 month to make cluster meter available, that too after repeated reminders and finally approaching Modi Hyundai, then General Manager (Mr. Irfan Khan). After replacement of cluster meter they informed that old cluster meter was faulty and was showing down gear shift indicator sometime due to error and actually your car model does not come with this feature. When I complaint this to Hyundai (HMIL) – Mr. Nirmal, Modi Hyundai, Public relation officer (Ms. Chitra) as my appointment to scan my car, so that data can be downloaded which can be sent to Hyundai to analyses and solve the problem. I gave the appointment to scanning and downloading the data. It was also informed that car is need tonight, so make sure work is done and car is returned within same evening. Modi Hyundai PRO informed that it not necessary to take the car to service center; instead they will send the technicians to my house for scanning the car. The technician came to my house was not aware what exactly has to be done and was taking instruction over the phone from somebody. Instead of only scanning, they tried to download some wrong software to my car due to which ECM failed and car did not start.
Next day the car was towed to the Modi Hyundai Service center and it took one week to repair my car. After repair my car started giving false warning indicator of ABS and brake failure whenever kept in hot sun also the mileage of car drastically reduced to 6-7 km/liters. Again I had to approach the service center and meet new general manger (Mr. Muneeb Punjabi); it took 4 day to repair my car. Mr. Muneeb Punjabi, GM, Modi Hyundai informed me, that temperature sensor was showing false indicator and low mileage was because Modi Hyundai technician forgot to update some software last time during ECM failure.
During last 6 month I wrote so many emails to Modi Hyundai and Hyndai customer care, clearly informing that I am not able to believe on capability of Modi Hyundai technical and I want resolution directly from Hyundai. However every time, HMIL forwards the complaint to same authorized dealer (Modi Hyundai) for resolution. I noticed that Modi technicians are not enough educated to repair the cars.
I understand all this was due to improper service, carelessness of modi Hyundai technicians, uneducated technicians, wrong/false commitments and finally trying to fool the customer instead of solving the problem. I lost my precious time and hard earned money. So I want this loss/damaged of Rs. 11000/- to be compensated by Modi Hyundai and HMIL.
