Motorola Moto X Hardware Issues – Review

Hi, I had purchased Motorola Moto X on 25th April 2014 worth Rs.23999.However I noticed yellow patches(yellowish tint) on the screen. This is a hardware defect and clearly a manufacturing fault. My phone is under manufacturer warranty.I had reported the same problem to Motorola customer care and was told the device would be fixed within 5 working days.I had submitted my phone on 20th February. I waited for 5 days for the problem to be fixed without any luck. Later on after following up I was told to wait for 24-48 hours to get it fixed, still it was not fixed. Now they are saying they do not have the spare parts to get it fixed. Hence the waiting time would be increased. Its almost 10 days still no resolution. I am highly disappointed as I have to carry out my life without a phone. Request your intervention here.

I am almost working without a phone for almost 12 days. It is very difficult to work without a phone. Motorola Customer suppport promised me a fixed device within 5 days. Hence I planned my activities accordingly. I should not have suffered this much as it is a hardware fault which should not have passed through the company’s Quality Assurance Department. The problem is that the people working in Motorola themselves are not aware how much time it would take to fix the device. It is 12 days now and I do not know how long will it take.

I want my phone to be fixed or the company should provide me a new handset as it is clearly a manufacturing defect. Also I am proposing another solution to provide me the new version of the same model Motorola Moto X (Second Generation) which is of Rs.29999 for which I shall pay the remainder of the sum that is Rs.6000. These are plausible conditions as it is clearly fault from their side.
