I was transferring my household items used old items from Kolkata to Mumbai as I have recently shifted to Mumbai. The items got loaded from Kolkata on 10 July(On the spot the full payment has been done via United Bank of India Cheque #583499, dt 10/7/2014) and was supposed to be delivered on 17th July whereas the items has actually been received at Mumbai on 24th July. The movers and packers guys left the items at my doorstep. On unwrapping it has been found that the Refrigerator which was working perfectly fine at Kolkata is no more working. The hinge(which supports the door from bottom) of the refrigerator door is also found broken. On contacting they said they are not aware of the insurance claim and they cant provide the support. Whenever we tried to contact either Mr Rudra or Mumbai Local office the call has been dishonored several times. Even though I am yet to receive any response after I have informed them formally about the incident and asking for the insurance claim. Finally I have never received any support against the damage of my Refrigerator.
I want the Insurance amount of my refrigerator(Rs 8000.00).
