Subject: Giving false information in respect of Nano RO water purifier (a product of Eureka Forbes Limited) regarding
This is in reference to a product, named, Nano RO water purifier from Eureka Forbes Limited, which I bought from you on dated 18/7/2010 (Tin No. 08272112579, Invoice no. 9274). I visited your shop for purchasing a Kent RO water purifying system. But you gave me another choice i.e Nano RO from Eureka Forbes Limited. I asked a few questions before purchasing. One of them was, does it control TDS in purified water as Kent RO does. You said, “Yes, it do control like Kent RO water purifier system does”. “Then why you go for costly product of Kent RO. You can adjust the TDS in Nano RO also up to desirable level; say 40%, 50%, 60% etc”. Then I purchased Nano RO product from your shop. After that it remained unopened in my house for more than a week due to late coming of person from Eureka Forbes for installation. During the process of installing, I asked the person to adjust its TDS nearly at 50%. Because TDS level in my house is 300 mg/L, so I do need only reduction in TDS to only 50%. But he said Nano Ro does not have TDS control facility. I was stunned at this and felt cheated at this answer either from Shree Jee Electronics or Eureka Forbes. I cross-checked this by calling customer care number of Eureka Forbes, but they also replied by saying that Nano RO does not have TDS control facility.
Now, since Nano RO reduces TDS of to-be-purified water to 90% in the purified water, and it is incapable of adjusting the TDS of to-be-purified water, and 90% reduced TDS in purified water is of no use for my family. This is because a minimum of 50 mg/L TDS in drinking water is essential to take it for healthier living. But Nano RO purifies water in my house to 30 mg/L TDS (10% of total TDS in water of my house). This is harmful for health of my family. Therefore, this Nano RO is of no use for me now.
Now, it is stated that you gave false information to me regarding functioning and features of Nano RO by saying that it is capable of controlling TDS in purified water like Kent RO does, but actually this facility is not there is this particular product of Eureka Forbes. Therefore, this becomes a case of cheating on the part of seller for just earning profit by neglecting the customer’s needs and requirements. This is a fifteen days notice to you either to take back your unit and replace it with another one of same company or different one in which is present TDS control facility or I will be helpless to move to Honorable Consumer Courts of India as my next step.
