I have been paid 1 lac for the policy of 2 lac Sum Assured. Now insurance company is saying that your policy is not of 2 lac rather it is 1 lac on each out of 2 members. Sir, at the time of insurance I was being told that sum assured amount of 2 lac can be claimed at the time of misshaping with any one out of two insured person i.e me & my Wife. But when need genuinely arrives they are saying that the amount is divided on both the insured persons i.e 1 lac each. It is nowhere mentioned even on policy bond issued by National insurance company. Kindly help me get the remaining amount.Since the company has already taken time to release the half amount. I want compensation for the following: 1. Delay i.e 5 months which company has taken to release the half amount. 2. My visits to NIC and TPA office(details attached) for which I have to take off from my work ( my earning for my livelihood) 3. The interest which I can get for the amount 2 lac’s. 3. Financial harassment to my family. 4. Physical and mental torture to senior citizen already ill and waiting for compensation. 5. The embarrassment of loan from others.
