Netflix India has opened the Content Wall for Indians with subscription Model. We see some adult / explicit content with limited censorship on Netflix (only self-declaration of age option); Indian govt / regulator’s stance going forward needs to be watched. eBay executives were arrested for having sold Adult CDs on the marketplace.

It will be important to see if / how Netflix tweaks strategy for India. Players that have molded their approach have benefitted (e.g. Amazon going for cash-on-delivery, Uber accepting cash, global retailers providing low cost offerings), while others like eBay, Expedia, etc have made limited headway.
