i have a current account with Oriental Bank of Commerce in wagholi brach. a/c no 20891131000434 (SAKSHI ENTERPRISES). I have deposited a local cheque of Bank of Maharashtra branch karvenagar – Pune and one more cheque of Janseva sahakari Bank Ltd Kondhwa- Pune Branch. OBC have charges excess amount of Rs 50 + service tax for clearing this local cheques.
When discussed this matter with bank via email, their reply is this excess charges are applicable under the name of speed clearing charges for local cheques. Where in the same drawer bank cheques we have deposited in other government undertaking bank in same Pune City then there were no excess charges applied for the same.
