PNB Met Life – Feeling Cheated

Hi I have sent this email to PNB Met life as they have cheated me by giving wrong information. If you can pls help me out with some details how to go about it. =—————– I am an extremely agitated customer who recently became the customer of your Co; my policy no. is 21790893. I purchased this policy your marketing Representative sitting in the PNB Bank Branch – Prashant Vihar. I am extremely dissatisfied and want my monies to be refunded back due to the poor customer service and wrong information given to me by the Marketing Rep – Ekta Tiwari.

On 08.01.2016; I visited the PNB Bank to open a PPF Account. when ‘Ms Ekta Tiwari’ supposedly the Marketing Rep of your Co. informed me about the PNB Met Life Endowment Policy where-in she informed that I need to pay Rs 30,000 annually for 5 years after which the policy will be matured and I will be getting high interest and the premium paid back with me. Basis this I purchased the product as I do not want to block my money for longer. However, I was astonished when I received Welcome call from your Company where-in I was informed that my policy term is 10 years and not 5 years. The document which she gave me as Receipt nowhere specifies of the tenure. • I paid the premium on 08.01.2016; however, I was informed on the Welcome call that my policy was issued on the 21.01.2016. Can you pls let me know where was my money all this while??? • Also, I informed the lady that I am investing at the last minute and need to show Investment Proofs for Income Tax by 11.01.2016. To which she said that the receipt which she is giving would be sufficient. Again a misinformation; this is just a receipt that I have paid this money to PNB Met Life for Policy and not a policy document per se which can be used as an Investment proof. Because of this I have not been able to use the benefit of IT relief from my salary. And will now have to pay the tax amount for this through my salary and then wait for IT Return. I am extremely dissatisfied; how can your people lie so much to your customers. I am a salaried person and manage my expenses accordingly. Because of that mis-information I will have to bear the consequences. • I have not even received my policy documents yet when it is going to be one month from the time when I paid for this policy. • I have been informed that I will have to visit your branch and write a complaint in writing along with self-attested proofs. I am myself a part of Financial Service Industry and aware how things work. Strange why the hell you cannot take complaint on phone and only want it in writing???? It is almost impossible for a person who is working to visit your branch to raise a complaint. To conclude this; what I want is my money to be returned back as I do not want to keep invested in such a company who do not know how to value its client’s hard earned money. I also want a complaint to be raised and a compensation to be paid for the inconvenience caused, emotional dis-satisfaction caused, and distrust for me to invest my money in such products in future. I am myself a part of Financial Services industry and it is imbibed in us how careful we have to as we are dealing with someone’s hard earned money. Strangely, I nowhere saw this while dealing with your Company. Also, do not tell me that I need to wait any longer for me to get my money back. I want my money to be refunded back to me so that the same can be invested somewhere. Would appreciate a prompt response on the same. Regards Agitated Customer Priyanka
