Dear Sir, now-a-days the activity of bus conductors has gone beyond expectation. The situation is easily realized in the recent case of Delhi. The case becomes more sensitive when it comes to “Private Bus Service”. But the problem is something different in my case as follows. In Odisha, specially in Bhubaneswar, city bus service has been started in last year from the government and the contract has been given to DTS Bus Service. But in a recent case of travelling, I found it very unsuitable with the behavior of the conductor and his arguments related to fare. My fare was Rs 7.00 and I gave him a 10 rupee note. The conductor returned me 3 chocolates. When I asked him for money, he argued with me like nothing and told give exact rs 7.00 otherwise take chocolate. he told “It is written on the bus, if the conductor has no change then take chocolate”. In that case I asked him to show his bag whether he has change or not. If it will be real situation then I am ready. But I saw his bag is still full of changes but he is selling everybody these chocolates. When I argued with him, he threatened me and close the door not to get down at me stop. finally I got down at 2 km onward neither with any change nor with any chocolate. This is a common issue and people on the name of Govt. has started business. So kindly take necessary action so that it will be stopped. If the fare is 4-6 one may give change. But beyond that it may not be possible in each cases. In that cases the conductor should keep much more changes to avail facility to the customer neither misbehave him. On the contrary the users also help him. but keeping change and selling chocolate is not the right thing.
