Last year the ICICI Lombard health cover was made mandatory by our state govt and the premium was deducted from our salaries.my initial reaction was of joy as we ourselves never paid any attention towards this.anyways I received the card and the accompanying policy document.right now I am in Delhi in connection with the eye squint surgery of my 12 year old son.i approached a network hospital MAX saket and duly submitted my insurance claim etc on 12 jan 2015.

In the evening I received a mail from ICICI Lombard saying that under some clause etc etc my Son’s squint surgery is excluded from the cashless claim. I called their helpline 18002666 and I impressed upon them that as per the policy document given to me eye surgery is included and that my sons procedure is to be done under General Anaesthesia .i was asked to send mail attaching my policy document which I promptly did.but till now after repeated mails and calls my claim stands rejected on baseless grounds.i plan to approach the consumer forum as ICICILombard is hoodwinking people. My policy number is 4016/88914413/00/000 and my AL number is 110200458389
