Reliance Broadband – Regular disconnection issue unresolved

Below is the email sent to Reliance broadband for which i have not yet got a reply.. i am facing extremely regular disconnection of my broadband services and neither are they able to resolve the issue but what is really bothering me is the pathetic level of customer service from their side i am thoroughly fed uo with them and want to do something about it as they cannot simply keep taking the customer for granted.. it is with immense frustration that i write this letter in the hope that someone responsible from reliance broadband customer care will take a keen look and understand and resolve my problems. i have had broadband connection since august and not a week has gone by without a connectivity problem that lasts for anything from 4 to 46 hours! today is the third incident of no connectivity for more than 5 hours (and counting) within a period of 15 days!! the internet service is down on an average of at least 20 hours in a week..! especially on Sundays and other public holidays.. and guess what this is still not the worst part. in my experience reliance broadband is the worst broadband service ever because of what happens when you try to call the helpline and ask for some help. first of all the numbers 1800 300 5555 and 1800 300 7777 are jaali (fake)! i don’t know what else to call them. cause whenever i call on any on the two numbers i hear an irritating electronic female voice saying, “this call cannot be completed. thank you.” and if by chance that you actually get thru, the average waiting is minimum 25 minutes!!! i kid you not. i have been there and done that..! after the long wait, some bechara will come online (and despite selecting english option, he or she will always start off in hindi. when i tried to explain that my hindi is not so good.. one of them even asked me why i could not select the hindi option and what problem i had with hindi!! yes it is true. i wish i had recorded that conversation) anyway, that perosn over there will take your complain and give you a number. and then he will inform you that the connection will be restored in 72 (yes, seventy-two) working hours! he has no other help/information to provide. i used to have hathway internet before reliance and despite all their shortcomings their helpline used to actually help. first of all they would assure connectivity with 24 hours, and not 72! the person from hatchway was much more technically aware and many a times he or she had restored my connection on the spot by resting the ping or something. they also knew what exactly was the problem and were informed enough to explain things like, the server is down or a cable is cut, etc, etc. i knew that my call was not wasted and sure enough with hatchway broadband in 2 to 24 hours the connection would be restored! also this sort of thing used to happen on an average of once a month. with reliance broadband i have no connectivity for almost 8 to 24 hours on an average of at least once a week! now

A lot of my work is based on the internet.. Due to connectivity problems I have lost my piece of mind and a lot of business amounting to more than a lakh. I have also had to use my phone’s internet and that had cost me very dearly.
